My ethos here at the Clean Goat Co is responsible breeding, ensuring that our animals are happy and healthy, well handled and that they can enjoy themselves. Goats are a herd animal and they need the company of other goats. To that end there are occasionally a goat or two who we decide to keep just as company for our dairy or billy goats.

Sometimes goats we have sold have had to come back to us because circumstances have changed for their new owner. We commit to either finding them another pet or smallholder home or we make a decision to keep them here as part of our herd.

We have previously adopted goats who have either been dumped or needed an emergency re-home and we do our best to source a suitable home. Or, like Heidi and Hannah they find their forever home with us.

Adopt a Goat scheme means that you can help feed and care for these special pet goats.

What you receive;

A certificate with a photograph of your chosen goat with a thank you card for your support.

You'll get a special coupon code to us in the online shop for the Clean Goat Co. for 20% off everything including workshops, rugs and cushions.

You will able to book a visit to come and meet your adoptive goat, of course remember to bring the biscuits!! You'll be able to have tour of the smallholding and have tea and cake in the gardens if the weather is kind. We don't recommend tea and cake with your goat because they will eat that as well!

If you supply me with your birthday or the birthday of the recipient, and their email address they will get a personalised birthday video message from your adoptive goat direct to their inbox.

Everything is supplied in a gift box for you or the recipient to keep and make sure they use all the benefits that come with the adoption.

Every penny of each adoption fee goes into the herd to look after everyone for life. We have made a committment to each goat born here that they either find a pet home or another smallholder or live with the Clean Goat herd for life. Our committment is to make sure any issues in the future those sold goats can always come back home as a first port of call.

We only breed a few each year which keeps what we do sustainable and of course with the health and happiness of the herd our first priority.

Tommy

A British Alpine x Saanan wether he came to join the herd as a friend for the male billy goats. He is a large friendly lad who's previous herd has been disbanded. I've very glad we got him. I recall the day we met him he came right up to us and was jumping up for affection. He loves his treats and buscuits.

Winston

A wether Pygmy goat, our only one here. He came feral and has taken us years to tame him to the point where he likes to take treats from us and is so much more relaxed. Be warned though he does like to scratch his head (and horns!) up your leg.

Harley

Born here he has such a lovely personality and such a bond with his mum Heidi he to will be staying. He had caused himself a injury to his lip on the right hand side. Even though it has healed with a bit of surgery his tongue hangs out a bit which is super cute.

Jessica

Jessica is a female who was born here to Marie. Marie passed away a few months after having her. She also got a bout of illness which meant that she came inside with us for while. Of course now she's fixed and healthy it does mean that she loves to have her neck tickled and she is very affectionate. She will be staying with us for the rest of her life and being a small girl we won't be breeding from her.
